This 27th November 6pm-9:30pm, experience an evening that is sure to illuminate your year with Light Up Latchford 2021: The Untold Stories at Westy Park, Latchford, Warrington. A community event brought to you by Community Objectives CIC and their team of wonderful volunteers, partners, and Funding Partners.

After the success of 2019's Light Up Latchford: A Winter Of Dreams, this year is bigger, bolder, and brighter than ever before. Immersive entertainment for the whole family bringing the untold stories to life.

Join us from 6:00 pm at Bridgewater Avenue entrance for a bite to eat, take part in a giant bubble-making workshop, whilst we kick off the night with some fantastic entertainment.

As darkness begins (7:00pm) your eyes will surely open wide as we illuminate Westy Park with an evening of great Music, Theatre, Performers, and a myriad of lights, and bright colours as well as the new addition of our community lantern exhibitions, storytellers, walkabout performers and the chance to involved in our annual lantern parade.

Latch Ford Big Local Partnership are kindly supporting this event to ensure arts and cultural opportunities like this event can happen in your local community. As a result, all members of the Latch Ford Big Local Community will be eligible for a ticket at no cost on a first come first served basis. Lantern Making Packs

Anchor 1

What you need:


  • Willow

  • Wet strength Tissue Paper

  • Scissors

  • Bowl

  • 70ML of water 

  • A small pot of PVA glue (2oz)

  • LED Candle/light

  • Paintbrush/Sponge

  • 2 Cable Ties

  • Tape (Masking tape recommended)

  • Table cover (if required)

If you applied for one of our packs funded by Curious Minds NW and Craft Council, you should have recieved some of the items above.


Ticket T&C's

Please Note:
-Please remember to wrap up warm, and please wear clothes suitable for the environment, it can sometimes become a little muddy so you may wish to pop on your wellies.
- This event will be recorded in both photographs and video. This will be used for future marketing material in both print and online and will also be used for reporting purposes to share with our funders. This allows us to ensure we can bring it back next year. Should you wish to withdraw from any materials, please contact to discuss this.
-Pets will not be allowed on site. Although we love dogs, we do want to ensure all of our community have a wonderful evening.
- All children under 16 and vulnerable adults will need to be supervised at all times.

-Although there is on-street parking available in the area, we ask that all attendees are respectful of people's homes and ensure they do not block driveways or obstruct any entrances and exits to the event. Our relationship with the closeby community is key to the delivery of this event.
- Aimed at local people we are encouraging our guests to Walk, get public transport, or carshare if you can, to help reduce our emissions and reduce the likelihood of any issues with parking in the area.
-Westy Car Park will not be available on the day to any member of the public from the times of 3:00pm-11:00pm. This allows us to ensure that the event provides a safe environment for our guests, volunteers, and other members of the public in the area.

Terms and Conditions
- Community Objectives CIC reserve the right to ask any attendee to leave if deemed to propose a risk or have inappropriate behavior.
- Community Objectives CIC reserve the right to refuse entry to anybody.
- This is a drug and alcohol-free event and therefore no such substances must be consumed within the event area.  
- Although we love animals, unfortunately, we won't be allowing pets to the event this year. This ensures all our guests can have the best experience.
- Light Up Latchford takes place within a park area after dark. To ensure the safety of our visitors, volunteers and staff please do not enter areas that are fenced off and exercise caution at all times when moving around the event as the space may contain potential trip hazards and risks to health and safety.  
- All children under the age of 16 and vulnerable adults need to be closely supervised at all times. A lost child/First Aid tent will be available and clearly marked.  
-Please refrain from touching the lights/electrical equipment unless instructed by a member of the events team in the instance of Community Lantern torches/LED's only.  
- All visitors must adhere to the instructions given by a member of the events team (identifiable through wearing a high-vis)
-Community Objectives CIC accepts no responsibility for loss or damage of any kind suffered at or in connection with the event to any property, including loss, damage, or theft of any personal property.
- This event will be recorded in both photographs and video. Refunds and Cancellation
- Community Objectives CIC, in the rare instance may be required to postpone or cancel the event for a number of reasons. We reserve the right to cancel or postpone the event at our own discretion.
- All tickets are non-refundable under any circumstances.
The only exception to the above is, in the unlikely event that Community Objectives CIC has to cancel the event. In those circumstances customers will be offered by email:
A) Transfer of tickets to an alternative date should the event be moved to an alternative date.  
B) A full refund of the cost of the ticket.
Ticket holders must request a refund with 28 days of the event cancellation/postponement.
We will not be able to provide a refund for your booking fee charged by Ticket Source.
We will not be held liable for any costs incurred by a guest under any circumstances.
-Guests will not be able to request a refund for non-attendance if the event has not been canceled.
- In the event of a covid related illness being the reason for non-attendance, we will review this on a case by case basis.  You should contact us at

-All visitors should adhere to any social distancing or other Government guidance in respect of Covid-19 as may be in place at the time of their visit.
-We strongly encourage all guests to take LFT (Lateral Flow Tests) prior to the event to ensure a negative result. The safety of our visitors is our utmost priority. If you have a positive test you should not attend the event and should seek guidance from
- As the event is outside we are not requiring our visitors to wear masks within the event area. Should you feel you wish to please feel free.
- To ensure the safety of volume and flow of people, we are having a longer entrance time between 6pm and 7pm.  This means that we can ensure there are no gatherings of crowds and keep down the queue so that you can get in as soon as possible.
- When purchasing your ticket you will be required to provide contact details. Although this ensures we can reach you with news and information about the event and your ticket, it may also be used should Community Objectives CIC need to discuss any COVID-related information with you.
- All conditions are subject to change in line with the most up-to-date Government Guidelines.  Any changes will be made clear via our website
